So where did we come from, and why did it take us this long?

As avid players of Settlers, we found one major flaw with the game. The board that comes with the Settlers of Catan becomes almost unusable after some use, as the frame around the board beings to shift and warp. The frame pieces pop up and lift and this creates a great deal of difficulty while setting up the board because the land tiles begin to slide under the edges and it seems as though you can never get the board locked together.

Finding ourselves annoyed and searching for an option, we came to the conclusion that instead of saying "someone should just make a better frame for the game", we decided to be that someone! With that, SettlersBoard.com was born and we produced the finished product.

Our goal was to create a board that was beautiful, easy to setup, wouldn't shift during play and would allow the board to slide around as necessary while maintaining the integrity of the pieces! Using state of the art design and construction, we have produced black plexiglass replacement pieces for the board frame that are taller, more durable, and provide the functionality and beauty we were looking for.
